                 The AMSOIL Dual-Gard By-Pass Oil Filtration System links two AMSOIL By-Pass Filter Elements
                 together for engines with sump capacities over 20 quarts. Allows fast and simple servicing with spin-on
                 elements.
Dual-Gard By-Pass Oil Filtration System
 		 Wear tests have shown particles of contamination in the sub-20-micron range are most harmful to rings
                 and bearings. Most trucks are sold with a full-flow filter as their only oil cleansing unit. A study by the
                 Milwaukee School of Engineering determined the filtering efficiency of four top selling full-flow filters
                 compared with a BE-90 AMSOIL Spin-On By-Pass Filter.

                 Versatility:Accommodates any two AMSOIL Spin-On By-Pass Filter Elements. Their unique internal flow
                 director and follower spring system provide a nonchanneling filter media.

                 Convenience:
                 Elements spin on and off for fast, neat filter changes.

                 Protection:The stacked disc type by-pass filter has been shown to reduce piston ring and rod/main
                 bearing wear 75% to 91% (Society of Automotive Engineers paper 881826).

                 By-Pass Safety:A metering orifice inside the mount controls oil flow so that it never draws more than 10%
                 of the oil pump's capacity. At an engine speed of 45 mph, the AMSOIL DUAL-GARD By-Pass Filter
                 cleans all of the oil in the system every 5-10 minutes (depending on engine RPM, sump size, and oil pump
                 ratio).

 

The DUAL-GARD Mounting Kit:
                 The BMK-12 contains a mount, mounting hardward, a restriction fitting, and two 3/4" - 16 to 1/4" J.I.C.
                 fittings. Complete installation instructions are included along with an additional parts list of plumbing hose and fittings available from seperately
                 from AMSOIL. Spin-on filter elements, available in three sizes, should be purchased seperately in pairs based on sump size or available room in the
                 engine compartment. The following is merely a guide, since the large the element used, the less frequently it will need to be changed.

                      For a crankcase sump of 15 to 18 quarts use 2 BE-90 filter elements.
                      For a crankcase sump of 15 to 30 quarts use 2 BE-100 filter elements.
                      For a crankcase sump of 15 to 42 quarts use 2 BE-110 filter elements

                 Your AMSOIL By-Pass Filters will last twice as long as your regular engine filter, so change them half as often.
                                     Why Dual Oil Filters?
Higher Efficiency
AMSOIL EaBP Filters have an efficiency of 98.7 percent at two microns. At normal operating RPMs the EaBP Filter will filter all of the oil in a typical five quart sump in less than 10 minutes.

Superior Construction
The superior construction of AMSOIL EaBP Filters provides better sealing and increased longevity along with superior corrosion resistance. AMSOIL EaBP Filters have a marine powder coated exterior; and their zinc-dichromate base plates increase rust protection. EaBP Filters have a nitrile HNBR gasket and an orange silicone anti-drain valve. The two stage pleated and layered cellulose/full synthetic media has an efficiency rating of 98.7 percent at two microns.

Longer Lasting
When used in conjunction with AMSOIL motor oil and an AMSOIL EaO or Donaldson Endurance™ filter, the EaBP should be changed every other full-flow filter change up to 60,000 miles. When used with other brands of motor oil or full-flow filters, the EaBP Filter should be changed every other full-flow filter change. AMSOIL recommends using oil analysis when extending oil drain intervals.

Increased Oil Capacity
The increased fluid system capacity and filtration life provides improved oil cooling and ensures that equipment constantly runs on clean oil. Engine efficiency is increased, providing extended engine life.

Soot Removal
AMSOIL has designed a new high-efficiency by-pass filter element that is also a soot removal device. AMSOIL Ea By-Pass Filters use a synthetic/cellulose sandwiched media. The inner layer of the element is composed of a highly efficient cellulose media covered with a full synthetic media outer layer. These filters remove 39 percent of soot contaminants less than one micron. Soot removal efficiency increases approximately 10 to 14 percent when the EaBP Filter is used in conjunction with a standard full-flow filter.

Dual Remote Filter System
The AMSOIL Dual Remote Oil Filtration System converts an engine’s full-flow oil filter system into
a full-flow/by-pass oil filtration system by attaching an AMSOIL Full-Flow Oil Filter and AMSOIL
Spin-On By-Pass Oil Filter onto a remote mount. The Dual Remote System provides superior filtration efficiency, increased oil capacity and improved oil filtration accessibility. See the G1092 brochure for more info on the Dual Remote Filtration System.

Filtration System Application Guide
Engine wear is caused by dirt particles of about 5 microns. The AMSOIL By-Pass Oil Filter removes particles less than
one micron or larger, virtually eliminating engine wear. AMSOIL By-Pass Oil Filters filter all of the oil in a six quart

system in about five minutes at an average engine speed equivalent to 45 mph.
